Your photo is used to make your reading, then let go — deleted as soon as your reading reaches you.

Everything below explains the rest: what we collect, what we never do with it, and how to have it removed. There are two exceptions to the line above, and they are in Section 5.

This Privacy Policy explains how Paroksh Sutra (operated by Minakshi Chaturvedi, under bfunctionalwithmini.in, Gurugram, Haryana, India) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data. It applies wherever you use the app. Where the law or the service differs by country, that is set out in Section 8.

SECTION ONEInformation we collect

Details you give us — your name, your age or age range, the wellness goals you choose, and the contact details you sign in with, such as a phone number or an email address. These identify your account and let us apply free-trial and usage limits fairly.
Your photos — every photo you take in the app: your face scan, your प्रभा aura reading, the two faces in a मिलान compatibility reading, a meal, a room. See Section 3.
On-device face signature — a private mathematical signature that keeps your account personal to you. It is created and stored only on your own device and is never uploaded.
Approximate location and time zone — your readings follow the sky where you are, so we record roughly where you connect from and your time zone. This comes from your network connection.
Device and network identifier — a device fingerprint and a hashed, non-reversible form of your network address, used to keep the free trial fair and protect the service.
Readings, usage and purchases — the readings generated for you, scans and chats used, plans purchased, and payment confirmations. We do not store your card or bank details.

SECTION TWOHow we use your data

To create and personalise your readings and recommendations.
To run your account, apply your plan, and process payments.
To keep the app secure and prevent misuse.
To identify your account and apply free-trial limits fairly — so the same person cannot repeatedly claim readings meant as a one-time trial.
To respond to your questions and provide support.
We never use your photos, or any reading about you, to train AI models. We do look at anonymous, aggregated information — how often a reading fails, how long one takes, which parts of the app people use — to keep the app working well. That is about the app, never about you.

We rely on your consent, which you give at sign-up, and where applicable the need to provide the service you ask for.

SECTION THREEHow your photos are handled

Your photo is sent to our AI processing partner only to generate your reading, and is deleted as soon as that reading reaches you.

The only exceptions are the two in Section 5: if a reading never reaches you, or if it fails, the photo is held briefly so it can be recovered or investigated, then deleted.

SECTION FOURWho we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the app, and only as needed:

Hosting and database providers, so your account, readings and purchase records are stored and the app is delivered to you — currently Supabase, whose database is in Mumbai, India, and Vercel.
AI processing partners, which generate your readings from your scan and your words — currently OpenRouter, Anthropic and Google.
Payment providers, which take your payment securely — currently Razorpay in India and PayPal elsewhere. They handle the payment; we never see your full card details.
Error monitoring, which tells us when something breaks for you — currently Sentry, on servers in the United States. It receives only the technical details of a fault: the error message, the page it happened on, and your browser type. It does not record your screen, your photo, your readings, your chats or your birth details, and your email address, phone number and sign-in token are removed before anything is sent. We use it so that a fault reaches us straight away instead of waiting for you to tell us.

Some providers may process data on servers outside your country. Where that happens it is done to deliver the service you asked for, in line with applicable law.

SECTION FIVEHow long we keep your data

Your photos.

Your photo is deleted as soon as your reading reaches you.
If a reading is created but never reaches your phone — the app closed, the connection dropped — the photo is deleted within 7 days.
If a reading fails and none is produced, the photo is kept for up to 30 days so we can find out what went wrong, then deleted.
We keep photos for no other reason, and we never use them to train AI models.

Your readings and history. The readings we generate for you are stored securely while your account is active, so you can return to them.

Your conversations with Mini. Your conversations with Mini are kept for 30 days — so we can check the quality and keep the app safe from misuse — and are then deleted automatically. We never use them to train any AI model.

Account and usage records. Kept while your account is active and for the periods needed to run the service, apply trial limits fairly, and meet legal obligations.

Inactivity. If your account remains inactive for 12 months, we will delete or anonymise your personal data and readings, keeping only what the law requires.

Deletion on request. When you ask us to delete your data, or withdraw your consent, we remove it from active use straight away and permanently erase it within 30 days — except for any minimal records we are legally required to keep.

SECTION SIXSecurity

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — encrypted connections, access controls on our database, and secret keys kept off the public app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SECTION SEVENChildren

Paroksh Sutra is for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us so we can delete the data.

SECTION EIGHTWhere you are

If you are in India

Payments are handled by our India payment provider.

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act gives you rights over your data, and we honour all of them. You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or completed, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent at any time — that last one won't undo processing already done. You can also name someone to act for you if you are ever unable to.

If something goes wrong, write to Minakshi Chaturvedi at parokshsutra@bfunctionalwithmini.in or on WhatsApp at +91 99104 20043. She is our Grievance Officer, and answers within the time the law allows. India's Data Protection Board is there as a last resort, if ever it is needed.

If you are outside India

Payments are handled by our international payment provider. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in India and other countries where we or our providers operate.

You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, using the contact details below.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when. Significant changes will be reflected here.
